Light harvesting enhancement using metal nanoparticles

Metal nanoparticles are very important for their optical properties when they interact with light. have the ability to confine collective oscillation of electrons, which is called localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). In this work, silver been proposed enhance light harvesting, could be useful different applications. such as gold and concentrate field in a small space. study, response was investigated using frequency domain simulation. The wavelength about 550 nm 400 nm, respectively. Silver showed better LSPR performance than nanoparticles. Therefore, were chosen enhancement. Here placed on silicon substrate To study effect size nanoparticles, structure diameter values investigated. 40 diameters response. distance between response, gap put value 4 obtained results that strongly dependent metal type, size, space addition, concentration can controlled by tuning This will support enhanced increase absorption near surface, beneficial energy harvesting applications solar cells detectors
